skip 10?
I got mine to skip 8mph in first gear. 28-36mph before I had to shift. But that was just straight full-traction acceleration. No wheelspin.
Skipping 10mph+ is mainly the result of excessive wheelspin straight off the line. My old car did the same thing. It would jump straight from zero to almost 30mph after regaining traction.

I know this isn't technically related to Honda or anything "tech" related in general.....
but in relation to this thread I found a perfect example of how cars "skip" mph during hard acceleration/traction loss.

Occurs at 00:34. Granted your car will probably not jump like a Supercharged Mustang.....the concept is still the same.
