i have a b16 head and a ls block and lsd tranny that i am going to put together..i am going to purchase the vtec kit but i am having problems on picking a good set of pistons..i want a all motor ..so basically i want good compression.what yall think??

how do you figure the compression will be that high?

 

Never mind me, didn't think about he whole ls/vtec thing. That compression would be good, but you need to set some goals. Get some PCT's if you want power!

so you think ctr over jdm b16 pistons??

 

dont get ctr's b/c in that ls block ur compression is gonna be over or at 13... no good for street on pump gas... if you want stock pistons get the jdm b16's or a nice set of forged cp's at like 12.1 cr.

 

see i was told to do jdm b16 pistons beacause they will fit right in without taking the block to a machine shop..i checked compression with my head and ls block and jdm b16 pistons and compression will be 12.22...is that fine??

 

i think it fine.because my car use only octane 95(in my country only have 95 )

You should, but you can hone it in the car with issue, just check and make sure you bore size is 81mm and hasn't been rebuilt to 81.25mm previously.

Endyn roller waves. They'll give you ridiculously high compression but run just fine on 91 octane. They shove the mixture over to the hot exhaust side causing it to ignite quickly and evenly.
