Default Not the usual idle

Ok ive done some search on idle conditions and they all seemto point toward iacv. Or some sort of vacum leak. I checked and double checked those points. Ive narrowed the problem to some sort of electrical drain. Idle is fine most of the time then something kicks in and it runs like garbage. to test this theory I turned on Head lights and idle started surging up and down. any Ideas what im looking for. PS Throws different codes when it dies. Mostly code 4 sometimes 16, and a couple others icant think of at the moment.

Almost forgot this is 88 crx dx stock with 88000 miles and i am new to hondas

replaced spark plugs and cracked coil. Plan on changing wires and cap very soon. I also noticed that the + and - wires might have been touching at the coil due to damaged insulation. Fixed it tried running again and it eventually died with code 4 again.

The spot in the cap where it meets the coil isnt pretty, the plastic around where spring is isnt there. the rest of the cap appears fine.

Is the distributer rebuildable, and if so what part would I be replacing. If not how much do they run.

autozone want 207.00 for one with a 70.00 core. if its a 88 you can only use an 88 distributor. is it was an 89-91 you could have used any of those years from 89-91 lol
