I ride dirt...when I miss the turn.

The only dirt riding I've ever done was on my supermoto.

lol yea i didn't notice at first until i posted the pics.....
they are great bikes and they last forever especially the 400ex they are built like rocks unbreakable unlike the cr which i had to put a good chunk of change tto keep it running...the kx on the other hand has been the best 2-stroke i have ever had......

Are you thinking of .Ash? He lived near there.

As for a YSR, I don't recall - I think big pete had one of those. There's no way my fatass would fit on a YSR.

I went for a 'dualsport' ride today with a friend of mine, me on my CB360, my friend on his NX250 (really cool bike btw).

We rode everything from gravel roads, to jeep trails, to ATV trails.

The CB360 handled it OK, but I was going pretty slow and avoiding all of the big potholes and bumps. Also, one of the mufflers got kind of loose from all of the vibration.

Man, I really need something like that NX250. It's liquid cooled, has 26hp, and can do 70mph no sweat.

You and me seem to have been bitten by the same bug. I'm finding myself doing rides more proper for a DS more and more often.

It's ironic that when I had a DS, I wanted a street bike...and now, I want another DS.

The way I see it: there's no traffic, it's scenic, it's more exciting going 30mph down a rock strewn trail than it is going 70mph on public roads.

I found an '85 XL600 for sale about an hour and a half away from my house, but it needs some work and I don't have anything to carry it home in right now. The NX250 just seems like the perfect combination of adequate on-road performance and light weight for maneuverability on the trails.

If I see a KLR250, DR200-350, or an XT350 for sale for the right price I'll ****** it up.

So I bought a 1985 Honda XL600R today, it's a little rough around the edges and needs a few odds and ends.
