Default B16 Drive Axel and Bearing Hub vs. SI/HF Drive Axel & Bearing Hub

I plan on doing a b16 swap into an 88 SI. Is it possible to keep the Drive Axel's and Bearing Hub from the SI/HF?

or...

Do I need to get B16 Drive Axel's, steering Knuckle & Bearing Hub from an integra.

or...

If I decide to keep the SI/HF Axel's and just upgrade the brakes & Rotors to LS integra brakes will the Integra Drive Axel fit the SI Hub Bearing Assembly?

Let me try to simplify what I am asking.

I have b16 swap available with the Drive Axels. I have a 1991 HF. Will the drive Axels fit into the HUB for the HF? I am trying to avoid buying the LS Knuckle and Hub to save money and weight by trying to keep the HF Knuckle set up.

No, you need either SI or DA Knuckles to work with the B16 axles

I got my DA ones from hmotorsonline.com for $50.

If you plan on using the Integra brakes you need the knuckles/hub anyway.

So..... the SI Knuckles will work with the DA Axels... Should the DA Axels slip into the SI Hub/bearing assembly? Because I tried the DA axels into the SI Hub/bearing assembly and the DA Axels are slightly bigger.

I even checked the part number in case I was going cross eyed and for the SI Axel its #102 and the DA axel is #118...

sgallagher I think you answered my question, but just to be sure...

What your saying is regardless if I have an SI or HF CRX if I go B16 and want DA brakes I Cannot use the SI/HF Knuckle and Bearing assembly AND I must get the DA Knuckle and Bearing assembly to fit the B16 axels? That sounds correct to me sgallagher. Let me know if I am understanding this correctly.

Im sorry guys... I keep getting conflicting stories to this question of mine and I searched and searched and cannot find a straight answer to my question.

You can use the si knuckles with the b16 axles (need to remove the dust ring), but if you want to run DA brakes you need the DA knuckle assembly.

If you upgrade the brakes your best bet is to change the rear to discs and use the integra 15/16 master cylinder and booster and use the 40/40 proportioning valve.
