My IACV was finished so I went to a wreckers to get a new one... Put it on and the car idles steady but when I give a little hit of gas the car dies a little then revs up.

The IACV was definetly the problem but here's my question..

The IACV I took of my 96-97 ITR motor looked like this

While those arent my 2 IACV look at hole beside the mesh and see the difference in diameter.. Is this causing my car to run bad?

Explain "dies a little then revs up". Kind of contradictory to me.

 

Sorry... I will give little tap of gas in neutral the car will dip below 650-700 rpm then proceed to go back up to idle.

 

anyone??? any difference between the holes in both iacv?? will it make a difference how the car runs??

 

Are you running an aftermarket manifold because you should not be able to bolt them up perfectly unless I am wrong?...

If it was an issue, why not go out and find one that doesnt have a whole like that and try it out. Maybe a friend you can borrow from...

 

The 2 IACV you post has a different bolt pattern. That will not hold the IACV correctly and cause a leak. Do you have an ITR intake manifold? CUZ the 2nd IACV is the right bolt pattern for the ITR manifold.

The 1st picure allows you to use either IACV cuz it has the 2 different bolt pattern but the 2nd picture only allows you to use the chubby IACV.
