Suspension for the EP3. What coilovers are you guys using? Tein, Skunk2, megan, ksport, etc. ??
Need some input on everyone's suspension and whether you would recommend it for a daily driver. Skunk2 pro-s, H&R, tein, hks, megan, ksport, etc.? Any comments would be appreciated.
I'm pretty sure if you used the search function you could find ample info on this subject, we go over this 1-2x's weekly it seems like. But just to answer your ? I ride on Tein SS and love them
Actually, I just tryed doing a search for those previous threads for the hell of it and none came up about coils. Anyways, To answer your question, A lot of people run Teins. Most dont like megan, Ksport are nice from every person I hear. Im getting Progress or Ksport coilovers myself. Theyre very fairly priced and good quality.
Oh yea ill save a bunch of time and tell you. DONT BUY SKUNK2 for our cars

The search feature seems to be broken again as I searched for a word on the first page and it didn't find it.
However...just going back 30 days yielded *many* suspension threads. Way too many IMO.
But for a daily driver, get mild lowering springs and decent shocks. Adjustable coilovers are harsh and cheap ones are junk for this chassis.

Koni Yellows with B-G Suspsening springs dropped just about 1.5 inches.
I love it... I can loosen them up for daily (although I never do) and make them stiff for whatever other reasons. I just run them like just over half to 3/4 and I love it. Very stiff and responsive but still VERY smooth. Everyone compliments how nice they are. Not bad for a total of about 750 dollars (struts and springs).

I did some searching and non of the threads really have the answer I am looking for. Please chim in with your suspension setup for the EP3.

Weird, I've heard the opposite. That people are really surprised/liking their Megans (new version) and everything I've read about Ksports are bad

I have no problems with my Tokico Dspecs. Great for DD (inifinite dampening adjustable in 3 mins for all 4 corners). Good enough for casual track use too. Good enough for 1.00g on crap Michelins and other suspension bolt-ons.

We've been over this time and time again.
I don't mean to sound harsh, but most of the threads that mention Megan, Skunk2, D2, lower model teins, etc...are pretty much frowned upon as junk (because they are).
I just answered this last week, but I'll do it again:
For a daily driver, get a spring/shock combo.
-Mugen SS kit
-Honda HFP kit
-Tein S-Techs and Konis
-Mild spring of your choice/Tokico Shock
etc. The key is to get a mild lowering spring and a good shock, and all of the above fit the bill. Don't go for the bling of the cheap coilover, because they are crap.

Tein ss arent bad, But are VERY comparable to progress V2's which run you about 200 less.

Im running D2's, they ride pretty good and havn't ran into any problems. the damper levels arent that noticeable tho

I had tein ss on my 04 wrx and they were very comfortable. Wife approved. But I can get progress coilovers for dirt cheap. too bad there is a 6 week back order. Just found that out yesterday.
I have tein ss and are a little too complient for my taste, I would love for them to be more stiff, but I also am hoping that some sways will give me that feel and still be good for a DD, I just had omni sports on my last car before it was stolen and I loved the way it felt, so I am just used to a pretty stiff car, but for DD Tein ftw....or maybe not, they are way overpriced due to our economy, just look at the spring rates, they are available on teins website and something of equal feel for cheaper
im running function form coils and love em. fronts all the waaay down and rears still have alot of room. rears set to full stiff and fronts about half and it rides awesome. love em.
