I have 92 hatch with a z6 and i replaced the starter last week and the car ran fine until one day it decided to call it quits...but here's the weird part, the starter stays on for some reason...until i disconnect the battery to turn it off...

After a while, I reconnect the battery, and its back to normal...I put the key in the ignition switch and try to crank it...doesn't crank, but starter comes back on and spins until I disconnect the battery again (stays on even with the key taken out of the ignition switch).

What could it be? why would the starter stay on constantly like that? can it be that my ignition switch is bad?? bad relay?

any help would be appreciated guys!
