yeah i use the strut bolts too for my amp and i hear like car engine rev i would say in the speaker...
there should be nuts that hold your rear bumper on use on of those, or a strut mount bolt, or the spare tire nut thingy
anywhere on the body will work, as long as you have a really good ground under the hood to go with it. the stronger part of the chassis, the better. i would look at the latch assembly area or hinge bolts.
make sure you are contacting metal and not paint

i use the the piece in the spare tire well that the bolt screws into to hold the spare down.. sanded it down to the metal and bolted the cable down with a 10mm.. i could get pics if needed

no need for pics on that... i understand you.. well did some reading... the battery needs to vent and being its in my hatch its going to vent into my car. possibly making me sick and or apparently if someone would light a cigarette or something that could cause a problem is this true?

haha... heavy? 10 pounds at the most is going to make a big diffrence hell no... thats like taking all your plastics out the back of the car and the rear seats and say yeah i sheded a **** ton of weight b/c you dont... i know a lot of guys that do that and i think its the stupidest thing i have ever heard. your not losing much weight doing that.
i'm just saying there two reasons to have a battery in the back of your car one is if you got a crazy sound system that requires alot of power or to meet track safety regulations now that battery that i have in my car in the picture above cost me 30 dollars at autozone now if you real want to put the battery in the back of the car go ahead but in my opinion it's not worth it
o yeah i actually bought a battery box and was going to put my battery in the back but while i was at autozone looking for batteries to fit the box i came across that battery now that relocation box collects dust

okay my reason is, turbo piping clearance... i dont have enough room between the distributor and the battery, but i am going to check it out some see if i can get it to go under the distributor and what not... i just figured it would be easier to move the battery
Your safest bet would be to pick up a Oddesy 680or other smaller batttery and keep it under the hood. you could always pick up the mount for it from Summit and mount it lower down on your frame rail. That way you don't have a battery in the car with you. you free up some room under the hood, and you drop some weight. That battery is fine as long as you aren't running a large system.
yeah password makes a relocation kit like that; gives you a smaller battery and mounts it lower in your bay to make room and give a cleaner look. however, i went the same way and decided that i could use that extra room later on and mounted and grounded my battery in the spare tire well.

yeah i think that summitt battery relocation is kinda of a joke... b/c really you arent moving it too much lower and it doesnt make it out of the way at all... the cheapest route is defently in the tire well... and no i dont have a system anymore the **** use to want to make my rear spin out from under me so i said it had to go... i may get like a 8" bazooka tube or something... just for a little bump..
i had the radio shop that installed sound system and re located battery, they sand down the paint in trunk where your spare tire used to be until there no more paint then he use a regular boult to hold the ground. it work fine for me but make sure you use the right size of ground wire. otherwise your car wont run right ! bad ground = bad performence
a marine battery is a good idea. they put out a lot of power and a re reliable. but they are normaly bigger i think. if you are going to build your own batt. box make sure it seals up well, those fumes get nasty when you let them build up in your car.
