water leaking from door speakers
I washed my car yesterday and when I got back in a noticed some drips from both sides of the car, under the speakers in the doors.
The speakers are already broken(now I know why
) but i was just wondering if anyone else has had this same problem???
what have you done to fix it?

It's so simple. Of course, on an un-original car, it may not be.
You want Honda OEM speakers and HOUSINGs. I am sure you can stuff non-OEM speakers into the housings, but the bottom line is that the housings actually have a gasket/seal that seals water out!
I pulled speakers out of an accord, and they were a perfect match (and the accord housings... pretty sure it was a 94-97 accord... could have been a 90-93 but pretty sure it was the latter). Bolted in right, no more leaks... from there.
On the passenger side, behind the door card, is plastic sheet that separates the door card from the skeleton/metal. water runs down your glass, and can then wick around and come in if the original plastic (thick/yellow sheet) is ripped or missing. It was basically gone from the passenger side. Take your door card off, you'll see. Walkthrough in the FAQ about door card removal, I think.

The above posted could help, but it's not the cause of the issue. Mine didn't start doing it until I put a passenger side mirror on. So check your mirror gaskets.
i always assumed it was because the drain off for the water was located around there, anyways its a very common issue in EF's, Do what i did, get waterproof speakers, if you dont know where to find some, a boat
. Then again i live near and have friends who work at Cobalt Boat Factory, so mine were easy to aqcuire. Hope it helps.

yeah I was just going to buy some marine speakers, but that wouldnt fix the problem. water is still getting in. Ill check the mirror seals like you said.
