I have a 98 Civic LX sedan and I'm having some issues with the driver's side electric door lock. This lock seems to have a mind of it's own. It locks and unlocks all the time on its own, regardless if you are driving or it is parked. All other doors are functioning normally. It seems as if it has a short in switch. I am planning on pulling the door panel as soon as I get the chance but I am wondering if anyone else has had this problem before and may be able to point me in the right direction and save me some time. Thanks.

Mine started doing that too. I pulled the fuse until I can get to it.

 

I may have to do the same until I can get the time to work on it. It hasn't killed the battery in yet and this has been going on for a week or two. I'm sure it is something simple though.
