my a/c blows but not cold.

well i bought a can of refrigerant for my 95 civic hatch that came with a/c.

the can says to turn the a/c on and check the pressure on the low side before i fill it up. the pressure was way over what it was suppossed to be . the can stated that my problem was not related to low freon if the pressure was that high and that i should seek a mechanic.

does anyone have any idea what my problem could be based on those results. if there is anything i can do to get a better answer let me know.I HAVE SEARCHED THIS!

Um... take it to a mechanic?

High pressure could be anything from a bad pressure switch to a junk compressor.

 

oh i see, i thought it might be a one answer deal. i need to find somewhere that has a free a/c check deal going on.

Well, you need to also know what is on the low side. High on the low and low on the high is a bad compressor, if it's low on the low and high on the high, check orifice tube and such, could be blocked.
