Power Door Lock- Alarm Issue
Ok!! I have another topic posted that talks about a current drain that I have on my car, even with everything off. I have a 1996 Honda Accord V6. So' long story short, I traced the drain back to my brain for my alarm. I started unplugging individual components from the brain 1 by1, until the drain went away. When I got to the Power Door Lock Output plug-in, the drain stopped. So, theres my problem. But, im still stuck. I beleive the wire that I unplugged, (power door lock out-put) is the 1 that goes up to the antenna for the alarm. But, Im woundering. Is there a fuse or something inside the brain that I can fix? Is there a relay thats inbetween the brain and the end of the antenna? Without that wire plugged into the brain, the doors dont lock with the remote, and the siren wont go off with it. The alarm is a hornet brand. Could use some help here. Thanks!!!!
Get a new alarm, Hornets are cheap, you should be able to find one for $50.00.
To answer your question though, there's no fuses inside the brain, all the fuses are on the outside, but even if there was an internal fuse, the problem is a grounding problem, not a fuse problem.

So, a grounding problem???? So is within the door lock plugin for the alarm? Or is the alarm brain itself? If it was a grounding problem for the alarm brain itself, wouldnt all the components be having a problem?? The only 1 that is drawing a drain is the power door lock output. Its a 3 wire plug in, and it connects all the way up from the alarm brain, to the antenna for the alarm, thats up next to my rearview mirror. So how do I go about fixing it? Do I get a new Power door lock output plug for the brain? Should that do anything? Thanks for the input!!!!!
