Default Headlights info needed.

Hello H.T before the flaming about the search button, i did search and did not find the answer i needed. I read some of the archived posts and it didnt cover any headlights swaps between years of crxs.

i have an 89 si, and bought a set of headlights from an unknown year [but i know its definitely from a crx]. the reflective shine inside my stock headlight has faded away since its so old. its usdm oem [stanley on the casing, not from ebay or anything]. got it from a friend that has two pairs.

on to my question, before i do a headlight swap. are they the same exact headlights for the years of crx 88, 89, 90, 91? i know the headlight buckets for the ef is different from the crx.

sorry if this question was asked before. i did search and didnt find the answer i wanted.

thank you in advance.

the crx headlight bucket is different from the ef ones, is what ive read on one of the archived posts.

what im realy asking is if a 90 or 91 crx headlight would bolt up the same on a 89 crx?

ya the 90-91 ef crx or civic hatch will go into your 89 crx only the headlamp will though cause the buckets are differnet from 88-89 then 90-91 cause of the side markers

so all in all you can take the head lamp and put it in your bucket

i just confirmed the headlights are from a 90-91 crx.

will that fit into my 89 crx?

it came with the actual headlight and the black bracket that holds it.

the only reason i bought a more fresh pair of headlights is because the reflective shine inside mines are faded away. and i cant see **** at night, plus i already replaced the bulb with brand new 9006 sylvania.

cool there is only like 6 screws ya need to remove to swap them out

start by removing the new headlights from the brackets ya got that way you can learn how to remove them and not mess up yours ok
