motor is b16 sir2 (B16A) on P30 ECU and check engine came on code says its for knock sensor........BUT it comes on and off and when its on motor redline at 7000rpm?? and vtec comes in at 4500rpms instead of 5 something and then another time it redlines at 6000rpm......????

Is it the knock sensor or the ECU????

 

did you check the wiring for the knock sensor? usually a bad knock sensor..

 

can somebody show me a pic of a knock sensor and also where is it??? is it under the intake manifold???

it below the IM above the oil pressure sending unit....the connector sticking out of the block should be green
