Default I bought a lemon :-)

I bought a 91 honda civic w/ b16 swap 3 weeks ago

Things that ive found to be bad so far

Bad fuel pump - replace
Bad main relay - replace
Bad power brake booser -
Wires all over the place
Cel 4 aka map sensor always on
Temp guage dont work - replaced
Coolent fan dont work - fixed
Cracked engine mount - Welded

So today i was driveing down the highway going to wal-mart and when i got there i went in got what i needed come out. put the car in Reverse and grid grind grind my clutch is going out. its hard as hell to switch from 1st to 2nd and grinds in 3rd but the guy said he just put in a new clutch 85k miles ago.

Im really hateing my crx right now.

didnt ya check it out before ya bought it??85k miles on a clutch the guy prob beat the hell outta it and prob needs replace.

this is why you dont buy other peoples projects lol

Yea i basically traded my Stock integra for it. paid nothing out of pocket. Not really upset i just have to listen to my Girl complain about i bough a pos but i was going to replace the tranny anyways

yea its probably bad syncors or your low on tranny fluid....it could br a simple fix but you wont know until you pull it apart....is it lsd?

Code 4 isn't a map sensor cel, those are 3 & 5.

Code 4 - Crank angle sensor

Have you tried to adjust the clutch cable? The car doesn't seem to bad,

with a little work you'll have a fun car. Post pics if possible.

b16 civic=raced and beat on hard.
85k clutch=TOAST!
Beat the hell on syncros=3 1/2 quarts of penzoil synchromesh.

Grind in reverse=put in first then to reverse.

I'm thinking its the syncros because my brother had the same problem in his truck where it was hard to shift into gear while driveing but easy while the car is off.

Which is more likely for the gears to grind while shifting. bad clutch or bad tranny

I'll post pics later its rainy outside

It grinds less and shifts a little easier around 2k rpm
