Default Spare Tire Load

I'm looking into getting a bike rack for my 2003 CRV. I don't have a hitch or the cross members on the roof rack. For now I've found my cheapest option is to get the bike rack that attaches to the spare tire.
Does anyone know how much weight the spare tire bracket can hold on top of the tire and rim itself? As I'm not really sure how it is fastened to the back door and do not really want to be driving along to see my tire and bikes bouncing bown the road.....
Thanks

You can hold two or three bikes easily. Just take them down before you open the door.
