Default Long block Vs Short block??????

whats the difference between a long and short block?
might seem like a stupid question but long blocks are cheaper
and im sure theres a reason for that (u get what u pay for)
but what is the reason they r cheaper, is it less torque or less hp
or just both or more weight?

i wanna know cause i think i have a long block Ls and
just wanna know the ups and downs or what ever.

Long Blocks are a complete motor, Block and head, somtimes without intake/exhaust manifolds.

Short blocks are just the block, no head.
