OK I own a car lot. I currently have 2) 97 Jeep gr. cherokee, 6cyl AT. I had a problem with the other one and figured it was the computer ECU by switching parts back and forth on these two cars. OK I am getting fuel at the fuel rail and I can hear the pump coming on. It ran fine before but I did run it quite low on fuel. Now, it starts but runs for like 2 seconds then turns off like it is not getting enough fuel. Can you give me some ideas on what to do. Can I get your direct email for future questions on this issue? Thanks.
You know, after I wrote you, i thought the same thing too.
I did let it get real low on gas when I was checking all the components from the other cherokee on this one to find out why the other cherokee wouldn't run. I bet i plugged up the filter with all the crap on the bottom of the tank. I did put in about 2 gallons of gas when I tried to start it again. Do you think that is enough fuel to get it to run again. Are these tanks like the old saddle type tanks the old suburban's had????
