I'm using the Y7 distributor on my Y8 and having some issue trying to get the timing dead on.

So far the distributor is turned to the max counterclockwise and the marks I can see getting aligned on the pointer is the first of the three.

The top dead center mark on the pulley is all the right of the pointer and on the left and I get another three marks on the left as depicted below but can only get the first mark to align and the distributor can move no more

so do I need to get a Y8 distributor because they are different or my timing belt is installed wrong?
