how do i program my key fob to factory alarm?
Alright, i ordered a new key fob. I programmed it to the car no problem...it locks, unlocks, and pops the trunk. The problem is that is will NOT disarm the factory alarm system. If i unlock the car and open the door the alarm goes nuts. My other keyfob disarms it so i know it is possible to get it working...anyone know how do program it?
your sisters bf...i was just at your house for the "family dinner" last friday...remember when i told you i was a member on h-t too?

Do you have the factory S2000 optional alarm or an aftermarket alarm triggered by the factory remote? There should be no special programing needed. If it's not disarming the alarm then something else may be wrong.
i am fairly certain that is says "honda on it...and it is under the drivers seat. I will check and see when i get home...i am pretty sure it is facory...could be wrong though.
I also noticed that the keyyfob was different...seems like a new design. It almost looks identicle but i tried to put the guts out of my old transmitter into it and the board in it is a different design/shape, along with the way the buttons and everything works.

Honda does not actually make the factory alarm so I don't think it would say Honda on it. You have an AP2 right... Maybe you got the wrong fob?
alright... this might work.
key to on, hit lock. key to off, then back to on and hit lock, key back to off, then back to on, then back to off and back to on one last time. if its factory honda that should be the way its done

thats the way i programmed it in the first place....
the keyfob unlocks and locks the car no problem, it just doesn't deactivate the alarm...i will redo all those steps anyways though just to make sure.
also, if the alarm system is unplugged then the keyfob doesnt work...how does it work for everyone without the alarm systems? I might just want to bypass the stupid alarm somehow.

If you have an AP1 and the alarm is under your seat then I am pretty sure it is NOT an oem alarm. They AP2's have the alarm under the seat not the AP1's.
OK OK I found out how to do this
first you need to put the key in your car then run around your car while pressing the FOB (Asian joke here). Then open your trunk and close it 5 times really fast after doing so put one key in the driver side door then put the other in the passenger door, jump up and down 10 times while saying the color of your car. Take all the keys out and throw them in your truck. Then your FOB should work...

It is still giving me the same steps that i have already been using...
Is it possible that i need to reprogram my original remote?
