Default Civic DX HB Improvements

I just picked up a new daily driver to replace my 944S2. A 1989 Civic DX Hatchback 5 speed. I needed a car that was cheap to run, more reliable and have a greater degree of utility. I race a 944 Spec and a H5 '89 Hatch so love both these cars.

I want to eventually do a swap - either b16a or b18c and have been out of the Honda scene for a while now. After jogging my memory and doing some research I need the following:

B16a or B18c (want dohc vtec) long block (I don't plan on modifying it except very basic bolt ons - no turbos, hot cams, etc.)
ECU - PR3 or PW0 (want to keep pre - OBD if possible)
Motor Mounts (which should I get...there's cheap ones on eBay)
A/C Bracket (can I use an oem one if avail from the original b series motor) or do I have to buy some like the HAsport a/c bracket.
Injector Resistor Box
Upgraded engine wiring harness (or can I reuse the one from the b series engine if it come with it?) and also run the 4 wires for VTEC.
I want to maintain pre - OBD if possible or should I upgrade to OBD1 - I'm not sure which is better.
B series axles and Int Shaft
Modified Shift linkage (I'll likely buy a HAsport for quality of construction)
Cable tranny (S1 or Y1 - I do want LSD so I should consider that). Some come with hydro tranny - is it better and how hard is it to switch?
I'm pretty sure I don't need to upgrade hubs as DX has same as Si.

Thanks.
