Default Hondata 4B to Neptune or S300 on P74 questions

Currently using Hondata 4B, yea, the one with the silver box - Old skool YO!

Anyway, I'm looking to 'upgrade' soon, and I've given away most of my old stuff- the chip burner, emulator, etc. and I my copy of the Romulator software is on a laptop sold old, well you get the idea...

So I would like to change over to a USB based flash board (no chips!). The new Hondata is a bit $$, Neptune RTP looks very good.

What exactly would I need to do (besides adding the expansion board) for each? I'd use the CEL shift light, the 2-step launch control, 3-bar map, and the wideband but no nitrous or boost control options...

Thanks for any input... it's on a B18B

It'll be the same for both systems, you'll have to start the tune from scratch. Both come with all options included so all you have to do is set them up.

Not sure about Neptune, but Hondata has horrible customer service. Just something to think about,

Thanks- I guess what I meant was do I need to de-solder the ECU or anything? One system I thought needed a ZIF socket where the chip goes (?)

You already have a socketed ECU, that's all you need for NepTune. The s300 will require you to put in a different type of socket.

That is one thing you won't have to worry about with NepTune.

James provides the best customer service around!
