well first off you didnt answer the question if your car was auto or manual.
2nd off, you can tell when u give it gas when ur in gear and your car just revs high but barely moves anywhere. and since u have 6k miles, your under warranty but guess what?? warranty doesnt cover a clutch because it is a wear and tear item. so basically your screwed and u gotta buy a new clutch. giving you the reality. also since ur at a very low mileage, the dealer will 150% go buy the theory that you ride the clutch so dont go into the dealer thinking your getting a new one for free. also the techs could have really f***ed up your car when they did the prep.

I can hear it now, Do you race sir? "NO" well do you know how to drive stick sir? "yes" Are you sure sir? "yes I know how to drive a stick" Sir, come over here and let me show you your horribly disfigured clutch. Someone was either racing or doesnt know the proper shifting method and you sir just voided your warranty.
I have seen in the honda dealer I worked in that they would 1 time goodwill it since it is under 10k, but you need to be a good customer i.e. your service record and how much you spend on services with that dealer.
6k miles is not a normal period for a clutch to wear out in, so there is potential that something else caused it to wear too fast. It that is the case, I'm sure it could possibly be covered under warranty.
siboii-When you are driving, do you rest your left foot on the gas pedal? I don't even know how you could wear out a clutch on a street car that fast.

The key term that leads me to think it was his faut is the "when I punch it part" ha ha
Or I could be wrong, i have seen atleast 2 times where there was clutch wear but was covered under warranty.

Do they offer a warranty on your tires? </TD></TR></TABLE>
Actually on my car when I bought it I did get a warranty with my tires and windshield, no questions asked. Already used on my tires twice no problems.

i work at a honda dealer and the clutch warranty is for the entire warranty of the car which is 3 years or 36 thousand miles, although it does not cover abuse of the clutch they could waarranty it or they could not it depends like previously stated that it depends on if you regularly go there or not and being so low on miles they might give you a break honda is pretty good about waanting to keep there reputation up.
I was honda technician for just shy of 4 years. See this type of stuff all the time.
What it boils down to is not if he can or cannot drive a stick. If he goes to a dealer and they diagnose it as a fried up clutch, they'll cover it. Especially if he's convincing. Plus it's only got 6k miles on it.
Service managers don't like informed customers that will call Honda of America and the dealership upper management, etc and start complaining when the dealer says no and the mileage is low and some major sh&t goes bad.
Only way they wouldn't cover it is if they asked him if he's been racing and he says yes.
In the end, the technician gets the short end of the stick cause he'll get paid warranty time to do the job and you always get boned big time with warranty work.
When you're a technician this type of stuff gets old fast.
