Default D16y8 obd0 with PR3 ecu???

So my friend picked up a rex with a d16y8 with obd0 everything, dizzy, wiring, etc.
I noticed the owner was running a PR3 ecu. Isn't that a b16 ecu?
How will that effect the d16y8 performance?
Its throwing 3 codes, One is for a knock sensor, intake air temp, and TPS sensor.
I am going to check on those sensors but i don't think a pr3 should be used in a single cam motor.

What ecu should he use running the d16y8 obd0?

a turboedit chipped ps9 is the best bet. 1 wire vtec. no knock or pressure switch needed

I have a virgin ps9 if you need it

Well right now all the sensors are wired up and working with the pr3.
Is their anything else besides a chipped ecu?

I am in all honesty surprised the car is even running. Y8 timing is all sorts of weird.

Chipped ECU with a specific tune would be your best bet honestly.
