b16a2 4.785 final drive from m factory trouble help
i have a b16a2 s4c trans i swapped out b16 4th and 5th for the gsr 4-5 th units
replaced all the bearings and oppted for the obx lsd now i have a huge delema i have been trying to get the case to sit back on the assembly for over a week now
with no success now i know that some people say the 4 inch shift fork hands up but what i have found is that if i remove the locking washer and the bearing on top of that washer the case fits all the way down but if i install this bearing and washer back on the main shaft it will not drop at all
im going nutz
i have at least 800.00 in parts just for this tranny and i dont want to end up getting fustrated adn tossing this thing so any help would be resourcefull
i have also had it taken to the honda dealer where i work and had the veteran tecs take a look at it and still no go please help me any pic ????
to bad no 1 makes a thick plexi glass cast lol or sum x ray vision

Make sure the finger tab on the top of the mainshaft is in the right direction. If it's not something will break or the case will never go on. Make sure the bearings are lubed, I use Honda MTF. Oh and be patient and leave the hammer alone when doing this.

You did swap the 4th and 5th gear main AND counter shaft gears, right? I've seen people only swap one side before
Take a picture of your gear sets as well.
Make sure the 3-4 sleeve is on the correct way also

How much depth is there between the top of the mainshaft ball bearing and the top of the mainshaft?

you got something upside down on one of the shafts. this happened to me once before. It took a few minutes to realize what was going on.
