Ran my car at the track for the first time... 5x
I took my car out tonight and drove it down the strip 5 times. i have my slips here with me but its late and dont feel like uploading them now. i felt the car ran really well and i would highly recommend taking your own car out and driving the 1/4 mile, to see what she can really do. enjoy.....

Hopefully you get better...I run consistent 15.2s and 15.3s with nothing but a K&N drop in on stock all season tires.
Your problem is your launch. I can tell because your mph's are way up there. If you are trapping 97 mph, you should be high 13s, low 14s at least. The fastest I've gone is 15.21 at 92.26 mph.
I keep a binder with me when I go to the track. I record every run I make (usually around 15 a night). I record every piece of my information on the slip (lane, r/t, 60', etc). This way I can look at every run I have (the good and the bad) and see where I messed up or where I did really well. I also keep track of my opponent's ET and whether I won or not, to determine if I won on a wholeshot, drove around him, or had him all the way.
Here is a list of my last 6 runs from the 5th of September (last time I went). The car reacts very well to launching at about 4k rpms.
15.224 @ 92.19 mph
15.377 @ 91.59 mph
15.329 @ 91.30 mph
15.298 @ 91.40 mph
15.306 @ 91.48 mph
15.210 @ 92.26 mph

Both of your numbers seem a bit low. I have a 08 NHBP Sedan and its completely stock 2 weeks old. I was able to get consistant 15.1's at 92 mph. Launching at about 4500. When the weather cools down i should be around 14.7 completely stock.

Mhm...where are you located?
If the car's two weeks old (meaning you most likely only went to the track twice) you aren't "consistently" running anything.

Somehow several people on this forum seem to have trouble comprehending the nature of comparing drag numbers and this thread looks like it's turning into an epic "comparison" thread jacking.....so let me spell it out for those of you who don't quite get it.
Too many factors come into play when trying to compare one set of time slips to another person's times. Unless you are at the same track at roughly the same time then it's pointless to compare numbers. The same essentially goes for Dyno comparisons to.
Not all tracks are the same. Some have a slight decline while others are pretty much flat. Some aren't prepped properly while others are prepped very well. The driver is also important to. Callibration of the tracks sometimes comes into play as well. And other things such as wind, humidity, altitude, etc. also come into play. Something as small as a 10mph headwind vs. a 10mph tailwind can make a pretty good difference in the outcome.
There's been a wide range of times posted up in this forum. Anything from mid to high 15's to very low 14s and near 100mph trap speeds on a stock Si. So while it's fine to stand by your numbers no matter how high or low they may be.....the fact remains that claiming someone else's times are "slow" who is racing on a completely different track at a completely different time in a completely different place is pointless. The fairest and best way to compare drag times is side by side at the same track on the same day.

which track did you run your car at???
your times are fairly decent for your mods.
im only running a dcrh and im hit a 14.8 at 97 mph as well.
last time i went to famoso raceway in bakersfield, the track was giving no traction at all even when they dragged tires on the launchpad. but i was using the launch control and using the burnout box and i managed a 14.902 at i forget what mph. ill upload my slips later when i get my scanner running (bluetooth is a p.o.s). maybe you should try out famoso raceway the elevation is like 532 ft above sea level i think. and its hot as hell. last time i went it was like 91 degrees at 9:30 p.m.

i let off quickly but enough to maintain traction.
so pretty much i just shoot off the line with little spinning of the tires

I took my car out last saturday night to portland international raceway in portland oregon, it was about 75 degrees at 9:00/10:00 o 'clock. i live about 45 min away from the track so me and to two buddies headed up there in a pack of 4 cars. "06 rsx tp-s" "02 vspec" "00 si" and me..... all with decent work done to them and at least respectable on the track for what we have.. the weather was perfect and i was running on about 6 blocks of gas so i had a little weight reduced plus my car was spotless inside and out only baring my weight. my most recent "mods" were my torque damper and my comptech short shifter which both i feel helped me with reduced wheel hop and engine movement. the short shifter feels great and i am impressed with its benefits.... i have a few other minor/moderate modifications but have nothing that would be considered insane done to my car at all. just a sweet *** SI coming to run on the track, of course there were the usual hot rods and 600 horsepower nova's but the first guy i lined up against when i had my first raced was a gutted hatchback that weighed 1600 with driver and full tank of gas with a k20 swap. this guy was a fairly well known old chum so i thought i would have a go at him knowing whole heartedly that i would lose even with a perfect run, but i figured why not. the guy didn't even have his gas tank lid on his car for weight reduction lol. He ran in the low 13's and beat me by about five cars. but i was happy that i had a good first time run and at least kept up with a pretty fast car. i had 5 races total but only two are worth telling you about, that being one of them haha. the other great race i had was against a 1993 mustang 5.0 with minor work done, and i had a great reaction time of .038 seconds and he could never keep up off the line after i had such a good launch. Now mind me i knew i was up for a race when he rolled up to the line but i think overall i was a better driver with a much better launch so he ended up trailing me buy half a car length when i crossed the line. that was my 14.88 that i ran on my third trip down the tube. when i took the left turn to go back to the general population of people i knew i had just gotten lucky and ran a very good race. it made me proud to own a honda.
all and all i feel the car ran amazing and not a problem with her the whole night except for about minus ten dollars in the gas fund. i feel when i really open up the air and get myself a nice header my car will reach mid 14's with good/lucky driving. im still torn between different header's and need some advice or maybe just some real information on what to do.
yes, yes i have been toking on a huge blunt this entire time and im pretty sure herb makes your a better writer lol.
night dudes

Exactly lol. Time slips are impossible to compare unless they were both recorded at the same track. Just way to many variables.
With that said, high 14's for a 18K+ car with an expensive comptech supercharger seems kinda lame. Keep the civic for a daily driver and get something B series for a track *****

yeah, change your sig. what 17's are you using that don't weigh too much?

i must agree that the ingalls engine torque damper is one of the best bang for a buck especially if your running a race header. like i said before i hit a 14.8 with only the race header. so for you to have those extra mods and run the same time as me does make it seem that you arent a better driver than you make yourself seem.
sorry dude no offense but im speaking the truth.
