Default Increasing the compression ratio (CR)

Alot of people have told me that by increasing my CR i cain gain a lot of hp and even acceleration... assuming their correct how can i go about doing this?? and is it easy? I, in no way shape or form, am a mechanic and i have only 1 car so ive heard u buy pistons to do this but thats a very involved mod. is there anything simpler i could do?

No.

You have to remove the block or at least the head in order to modify your compression enough to gain any Hp.

Yep, the things that affect compression ratio are the cylinder head, engine block (higher or lower deck), head gasket, piston, piston rod (shorter or longer to move the piston), and valves. I suppose a spark plug could also change it if it were bigger or smaller...but I have never heard of that
