Default To Buy or Not to Buy? State your opinion please

I am close to buying another R. I would like your opinion on if you were in my situtation would you buy this car?
Its a 2000 black acura integra type-r: clean title, one owner, 65,000 miles, clean interior. It has 2 dents on the car. One on the back bumper and one on the passenger door. The one on the bumper needs to be replaced. The one on the door is not bad at all. The original engine blew, it now has a JDM motor linked to a USDM tranny. Now if you the test drive and the tranny is butter smooth like it should be, everything else checks out. The seller has some service records but not all. Would you buy this car?

Is everything on the engine US OBD-2 compatible? Is it still using the original US market ECU? What kind of price point is the seller sticking to? Are there any mods other than the Japanese market engine?

The problem is you dont know how many miles are on the motor. I would try to stick with a car with the original motor

You purchased your last R in June of this year and it was stolen less than a month later.

What makes you think you'll be able to keep another one safe??

Well considering that you've had one stolen and you still live in Southern California I'm going to give it a big fat no.

what's the price? forget the stolen part. insurance pays you. the JDM engine is most likely going to be in better shape than a higher mile USDM. hard to say for sure but i would definately guess that way. you could always pull the head and look at the cams if you suspect GSR, not fool proof by any means but worth a look. plug a scanner in and check to see if they retained the USDM computer and sensors. if no that's a minus. the clean title is cool i supose but they always cost more. i'm personally a fan of theft recovery salvage titles. they always sell cheap and usually aren't in that bad of shape.

I Believe it has Original ECU. It also has AEM CAI and DC sports exhuast. To Doespike, The main reason my car was stolen was that I gave it to my stepdad and it was stolen from his townhouse parking lot. This car will be garaged at my house only. Also will be buying GPS for this car. It has a viper alarm on it now, which I plan to change. The car will be garged until everything is in place. With my last car stolen, insurance covered everything, so if stolen again will be covered. The seller is asking $15,500, this prices also includes a Jackson Racing S/C with tuned hondata. The S/C was on the original motor and has not been attached to the JDM motor. But im thinking just pitching for the car because I dont need the S/C. I also asked to the seller to Find the receipt for the JDM Motor. Would I be able to take the car to an Acura Dealership to have them do an inspection?
