Help me with wiring (Amplify front speakers)?
I installed a new Head Unit in my friends car; 2 amps one for the speakers and one for the Subwoofer in the trunk
So far I wired it up like this but it didn't work?
-- Connecting the factory connected wires to the speakers as usual then went behidn teh dash and cut where the wires are about to go into the headunit then ran wires from the amp to there. But no go..I reconnected direct to the Head unit without the amp and it worked.
Keep in mind I used the factory wiring.....
The headunit is a Pioneer DEH5900
The Speakers are Clarions.
How can I amplify the front car speakers without running new wiring to the car's door? is that possible?
The car is an 07 Corolla.

The easiest way is to run your own speaker wire and not use the factory wire. if youre going thru the hastle of putting more power to them, you might as well upgrade the wires as well. and as far as powering the speakers...
Run the rca's to the amp like you normaly would. Then run the speaker wire from the amp directly to the speakers.
also, double check and make sure you have wired the amp correctly. a friend of mine tried to bridge the speakers as if he was doing a subwoofer setup, no go.
but im pretty sure powering your speakers using the factory wires is a no go as well... just my .02 hope everything works out...

It should have worked, if your HU powers the speakers then the amp should, [using the stock speaker wiring].
You either connected the amps outputs, [speaker leads] to the wrong end of the cut stock speaker leads, [into HU instead of to speakers] or you have a problem with the amp or signal to the amp.
Try connecting a speaker, [stock speaker you removed] directly to the amp and see if it works, if it does, you miswired the amps speaker outputs, if it does not work, you have a problem with the amp or wiring going to it.
