While trying to remove my battery terminal it broke so i brought a universal terminal at autozone installed it and now my car has a hard time starting. i never had a problem starting up the car until i changed the + terminal so i know this is causing it. i thought the power was unbalanced since the - one was still the oem thin terminals so i replaced that as well. it helped for a lil bit but it still has a hard time starting =/. my question is does this mean i should replace it with an oem battery terminal? or what?

any help is appreciated thanx


ps i searched i found a similar thread but he always had problems starting his car and it got a lil better after changing it. but that thread went into another topic. so yea help me out HT!!!

 

Well, your battery is low or you are not making a good connection somewhere on your terminal. Metal is metal on battery terminals, doesn't matter if it's 'thin' or not. Make sure everything is bolted together clean and tight

Well this is how I see it.......Aftermarket terminal is a downgrade!

Buy the original Stock Battery Ground Wire from honda or a junkyard!

or better yet Make your own ground kit and install it!

 

sounds like theres a bad connection with the battery terminal as the starter wire and the thinner power wire that powers the rest of the car is there ...or the battery is low but those 1 size fites all terminals do not work as good as the OEM cables and worst if they are painted as the paint causes bad connection to the wires and battery terminals
