My teg rumbles before it starts to accelerate

Hey guys, for some reason, when i'm about to accelerate in 1st gear, it starts rumbling as if the car is about to stall, and then goes. For some reason, i don't know why, but my clutch pedal gets stiff and soft sometimes. Anyone know why?
