Default comptec 4-2-1 itr header

ok im doing a gsr swap on my ls n i have itr cams spring n retainers n maybe getting this header just wondering how it will do?

To be honest it's nothing to write home about. I believe the Comptech 4-2-1's all had 2.25" collectors on them. It's certainly a quality piece and isn't bad, but it's not comparable to some of the other header designs available today.

EDIT: The pinnacle of Comptech's B-series header development was their race header. It was a long tube 4-1 design that made outstanding power, but due to the length it required some exhaust modification and it was possibly the lowest hanging header ever available.

Just a word of advice, stay away from low hanging headers if your car is lowered. Denting it is inevitable. I had my DC JDM 4-1 for a few years and recently discovered two long dents on the primaries. When looking for a good header try to find one that has a 2.5" collector. They generally make more power than USDM size collectors.
