What CR do you want? What cams, and other mods do you plan to run?

LS-V with GSR block works. Takes advantage of the GSR piston squirters and girdle. Some may argue just to use a LS block but if you have a GSR block lying around I think it's worth it. If you didn't, just go with the LS block.

Im in the same boat as far as building a B18C1. To be honest there is alot of potential in the shortblock alone unless you deem it necessary to put the ls crank and rods in it. But to answer your question yes you can put P30's on a LS crank and rod combo in a GSR and get a good and safe compression ratio.

how much can you spend and how fast do you want to go? if you wanted to go all out the $2000 dart block would be a great start since you could make a 2.2L and aim for 240-250whp. do keep in mind that the weekend drags are all about cash. some guy with 100k in a z06 is still going to be scary. figure out a goal with whp or an et you're aiming for & get back to us. you'll probably run into someone with a combo along the lines of what you're looking for & get some great ideas.

actually...this is what you need to read. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/2326323

copy that combo. for the price, that's rockin
