Default Accelerating issues !!PLEASE HELP!!

I have a 1997 Acura Integra, 178,xxx miles on it.

I was driving to work this morning and it was fine, then all of the sudden it stopped accelerating. It revs in drive and reverse, I can redline it still, but there is absolutely no engagement of the gear. If I let it sit for 15 minutes or so it will again accelerate for a few seconds (30-45), then stop accelerating.

The engine does not die at all, nor does it make any weird noises or bog down or anything.

When its actually allowing me to accelerate it switches gears just fine, I got it to 3rd with no issue.

Could it be fuel filter/pump related?

There's a torque converter that allows it to shift. I don't know much about automagics myself, but that sounds like your problem could be related.
