PROPPER HONING OF H22 CYLINDERS??
ANYONE KNOW THE PROPPER WAY TO HONE THE frm SLEEVES??
is there a coating you have to apply afterwards?? should we be using a paste??
anyone have actual experience???

no you do not use the silica paste. chances are if the machinist is saying you need to you need to go somewhere else. i just went through the same thing. coolant for the hone needs to be oil based, not water based.

my machinist says that he has the propper tooling for my sleeves but couldn't recall wether or not to use the silica past or the oil based coolant. he said he never uses tje glycol based coolant because it is garbage. IDK
