thrown rod in B18B
I recently loaned my car to a dumba$$ that didn't understand that a flashing oil light on the dash meant that the car had no oil
. So long story short he drove it about 75 miles with the light on and it threw a connecting rod out the front of the block. The car is a 1995 Integra Ls B18B with 5 spd. My question is I have a complete ~65,000 mile running D16 minus the intake(was running when pulled from totaled car), will the d16 drop in with my 5spd and intake? I'm not looking to build a hot-rod, I just need to get a running car again as cheap as I can. I would give more info on the donor car but it was scrapped long before I got the motor. Basically I want to know if my tranny, intake and motor mounts will work together?

You had a massive oil leak then. cause even 75 miles low on oil wouldn't have thrown a rod.
The D16 will drop in but you will need the civic mounts and ecu.
The exhaust might not bolt up either?

you could do the block idea but i would hate to put a high mile head on a better bottom end. $599 will normally get you one of those JDM b18b's almost certainly better condition than a higher mile US engine and cheap for a complete drop in.
