Advice for buying lugnuts.

Advice for buying lugnuts.
I just did a search for lug nuts, Hory Chit there are so many out there!
I'm not looking for blingtastic, just plain black lug nuts with a tapered seat for aftermarket wheels.
Any suggestions.
anything more then $50 is too much- but if I hve no choice, I have no choice...
I did come across Hasegawa Lug Nuts, Is there anyone using them or have first hand experience?
a set of 16 of those and locking ones come out to $55. acceptable price- But are they ok?

I have a set of SR48s which I got off ebay for $50 shipped if I remember correctly. They come in titanium, black, or blingtastic NeoChro look, which doubles the price. They are extended and open ended, but they offer the shorter length lug nuts as well. They have worked out fine for me. Not super nice, but good for the price. No lock though.

i have the hasegawa black lugnuts on my volks. no problems at all. theyre steel, the finish is as strong or stronger than any anodized aluminum ones and they should last longer as well

Go down to Autozone (or any other autoparts store) and just get some "tuner" lugs. $19.99. I have a set I have been using for almost 4 years now. No probs...

Now your using that melon. Don't forget the anti sieze lube if you plan on taking them on and off frequently.

same here, they worked great too. im pretty OCD and went with the Ray's lugs after all, but for the price you can't beat the Muteki.
are the tuner lugs at autozone etc, tapered enough to fit aftermarket wheels? the ones I had (on an accord) didn't have near the taper that the Ray's did, just by looking.

thats exactly what i have, i bought them at advanced auto parts, was like 20 bucks, and there black, they had regular closed and open ended, i only put them on and took them off once, but the paint/coating didnt chip/scratch off, so i figured i got my moneys worth

dont you know you are supposed to use stock lug nuts on aftermarket wheels..........and aftermarket lug nuts on stock wheels......
I have run muteki for a number of years....

whatever you do DO NOT buy those no-name cheapo ones from ebay. i tried a set on my civic and my ARP studs raped the **** out of the lugs threads after a few times of taking them on and off.
i went back to OEM black and open ended lugs and they go on and off like butter.

i use to have a set of muteki's and the lug key would almost strip the lug, it was a couple years ago maybe they have improved that i dont know

most "tuner" wheels will require a tuner "Style" lug nut, i just shopped around for a used set of rays or quiality lugs that you know wont strip out etc and spend between 50-70 bucks

ya but they are for stock wheels not aftermarket wheels, also look at dontblinks wheels, idk if thats from his current lugs or lugs from before but they are all tore up from sockets etc and not fitting correctly

that was from the lugs that were on the car. they were 21mm these are 19mm just like the factory, thats why i got these because sockets actually fit.
