Allignment after install rear SWAY BAR?
hi there, i have Accord 99 sedan, and i just order a 01 acura TL rear sway bar on ebay ($73), On the side note, I ask 3 acura dealer in ORANGE COUNTY for the price on these stock sway bar, and the price shot up so much it is $250 minimum now.
DANG IT, where is the good old price $50 a pop.
Anyway, my question is that AFTER I INSTALL THE SWAY BAR, do i have to get my car allignment?
ANY answer is not only welcome but highly appricieated.

not sure where you could have gotten it for $50 but AcuraAutomotiveParts.org has them for $130
as for the alignment... I'm thinking probably not since your not changing the geometry like you do when you lower a car and you shouldn't be removing anything that would affect the alignment. But I may be wrong...

Replacing the sway bar does not require an alignment. Any shop that tells you that it is required is just looking to make money off you.

LOL, $50 sway bar? Maybe back in '82.
When I installed my rear sway, and had no alignment issues afterwords. This is because:

You should be fine, unless of course you needed an alignment before you installed the sway bar.
