Default Removing scuffs on doors / plastics

One of the things I don't like about my Si is how freakin' easy it is to scuff the crap out of your door with your shoes while getting in and out. It looks horrible and no matter what I did I couldn't get those scuffs off.

Finally I thought "ahh, this seems like a job for the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser™!!" Well when that didn't work I realized maybe it's not that I need to clean marks OFF of the door, but rather cover up spots where the finish has actually been rubbed away.

Enter the shoe-polish sponge:

I bought one of these, rubbed it on my door panels, and voila! The scuffs/marks almost completely disappeared! Yes, there are still remnants of the scuffs on the door but unless you were looking specifically, you probably wouldn't even notice them now. Just make sure you feather the edges of your work since the shoe polish has a VERY slightly higher sheen than the rest of the panel.

I bet you could use a very small amount of black shoe polish and a shoe brush to achieve similar (if not better) results as well.

Hope this helps!!!

If you try it, let us know how it works for you. Would love to see if other people are successful using this as well.
