Wiring up Wideband, having trouble.. Help?
1) i'm not a newbie, but I never really have done a wiring of a gauge, because i always thought it was just nonsense, recently i've been working on how the car looks alittle and i've had this AFR Gauge in my room for like 2 years.. So i went and put it in my bezel in m itr, and wired it up..
Its a Faze gauge, i guess its some type of ricer off brand, no clue, buddy gave it to me..along time ago..lol
It has 3 wires, green, black, purple..
I grounded the black, and hooked the green up to a ACC power source.
Purple i assumed is a signal wire, Is this possible to hook up to my "stock" honda o2? or do i need to buy another one..
And if i Can, why is when i touch the singal wire, the AFR flucuates.. it goes up and down depending on how hard i touch it.. Did i wire it up wrong?

First you have to find out if your gauge is wideband or narrowband; if it's wideband, you need a wideband O2 sensor, if it's narrowband, then hook the purple wire up to your stock o2 sensor signal wire and it'll be hooked up properly, but still won't be accurate.
Ummm..... you do know that this "faze" guage is not a wideband right?
They are 2 totally different things....
What you basically have is a cheapo version of the infamous autometer A/F ratio guage...
Nothing more than a light show without actually having a real wideband o2 sensor...
Youll need an actual wideband sensor to make this thing useful...
Good luck
