Default prelude wheel repaint

Hey guys

So i bought a 99 prelude last summer. Everything on the car looked great, save for the mags. they had severe clear chipping as well as many scratches and curb rash

here is what one of them looked like

i bought another set of some local dude to replace these but never sold the orignals and used them as winter wheels
well over the last week, i decided to repaint them.
media blasted them clean

and painted them black.

i wasnt completely happy with the results as they didnt really stand out very much...
soooooo... heres what i ended up doing

and a final shot with them on the car

paint used was duplicolor wheel paint. taping off the inside to paint the lip wasnt as bad as i thought it would be and i taped all 4 within maybe an hour.

lemme know what you guys think

PS I know the car needs a drop, its coming for next summer. had a bit of body work to fix this year

not a good choice in color and you should have primed them before the paint but i guess they are better than before
