Approx. 1/4 mile time w/ JUN 3's & Jdm Final Drive
Hey dutch....you have the JDM final drive....whats the max speed your tranny will take you to? I hear it's 115...is it true? If so would the GSR 5th gear help? Making my final decision on whether or not to get one
thanks
thanks
I have the complete JDM gearbox, so the 4th and 5th gears are longer. I can reach 240 km/h (150 mph) @ 8400 rpm indicated....
Maybe Yoshi put the gear ratios in his FAQ?
If you put an JDM final drive in an USDM gearbox, your revs will increase with 4.785/4.4 at a certain speed...
So, if you were hitting the rev limiter (8600 rpm) @ 150 mph with your USDM gearbox, you will reach 138 mph @ 8600rpm with the JDM final drive.
4.4/4.785 * 150 = 138....

I have this setup you are asking about, but I suck at drag racing anf i live at 5000 ft Above Sea Level. My last times were:
1/4: 15.04
60": 2.34
1/4 MPH: 93.5
That was on 205/55/15 Dunlop W-10's
Some people have told me that my car is faster then 14's, perhaps 13's at sea level???

use this. FYI put in 23.1 for tire diameter for a 205/50/15.
You can change the Findal Drive after picking your tanny and you can see what your top speed ill be. Make sure to change your redline to 8200.

115????? yeah uhh do some research before you just spit out numbers. I have the ATS 4.929 and I can get up to 147 indicated. So uhh, how the hell does the JDM LOSE top end? It doesn't thats how

edit:
USDM R 5th with USDM FD = 156
USDM R 5th with JDM FD = 146.6
Just to give hard numbers, but hardly 115 which is some serious false info.

I don't think any of you fools should be hitting 150 mph anyways.
hehe.
**oh yeah** ...and to get back ON TOPIC, I would say your car would run low 13's on slicks also...assuming that proper tuning was done.

arbi..man, cant you take 2nd place....???
now that henry got his hatchcrap, you wanna have the upper hand huh??
Well I would say with that set up maybe low 14's or high 13's with full interior and street tires. I guess we;ll have to wait until september to find out
