Default Faint Knocking Coming From my Z6?

Well idk if the knocking has been there ever since i swapped the motor in..but i noticed that it has a very FAINT knocking sounds when i am on the Gas..i know its time for an oil change and im gonna check the oil pan when i change the oil...right now im running Pennzoil 5w-30 in the Z6 with just I/H/E. I have heard some things about Pennzoil causing Knocking and rod bearings going out and such(what ive heard)...sooo i was curious if i should make the Jump to Mobil 1 Full Synthetic? and is it possible that changing to Full Synth could fix the knocking? or what do you guys think?

btw car drives FINE! no problems at all..its just time for an oil change and was curious if changing oil would cure the very faint knocking sound by switching to full synthetic or is my motor about to crap on me.

Your sure its the engine? get a mechanics stethescope or a piece of pipe of some sort, put it against the engine block while the engine is running and put your ear to the end, move it around in an attempt to locate the source of the knocking.

your right...cuz when i have the hood open and its idling it sounds like there is a knocking..but its not the motor..the sound is coming from the Timing belt rubbing against the Timing belt cover...BUT idk if thats the same sound thats its causing when im driving it...i will check tho when i change the oil.

I also found out that that Slight faint knocking noise seems odd...well here is the scenario...the knocking ONLY happens when im in gear...i was cruising doing about 25-30 and put the clutch in and the knocking went away and i reved the motor and there was NO knocking whatsoever coming from the motor? Then the moment i let the clutch back in the knocking came back? The i parked the car and put the clutch in and reved it..no knocking..only happens when im in gear in moving?

Something wrong with my Tranny? or Throwout Bearing?

clutch bearings - as far as oil - brand I have found not as relevant - I have had more honda motors die on 5w-30 and actually went to valvoline high mileage 10w-40 maybe a bit excessive but have had much better luck (so far)

So could it be the clutch bearings making that faint knocking noise? i mean i dont think so cuz it also happens when i hit the gas when the car is in gear? i mean the clutch and Throwout bearings are still kinda new..only about 4,000 miles on em..and on the clutch? something wrong with my Tranny?
