Default Auto down / up function on 02 Type-s broke

just today the auto up / down function on my 02 type s stopped working, the switch still works to roll the windows up and down but the auto function is no longer working. checked all fuses etc..

anybody have any ideas ? anyone else had this happen yet ?

This isn't the first time I've heard this happen so hopefully you get your answer. (I don't know it)

You have to reset the Auto feature by clicking the switch all the way down until the window is completely down, then release. Do the same on the up. Pull the switch up to the click and hold it until the window is completely up, then release. If this does not work, your switch may be faulty.

nice, ill be trying this in the AM before i go to work. and ill get back to this thread at night in hopes to make a USEFUL thread on here that may help someone with this same problem in the future.

yea, i was thinking at the very worst that the switch is bad. but im still going to try that reset trick you speak of first.

if the reset doesn't work a short trip to the junk yard to peep the switch out of any 02+ acura won't cost you more than an entry fee and a hand movement to put the switch in your pocket

tried the trick that was mentioned above and it worked. must have reset the switch, and everything is working fine now.

i ain't no thief, they have a business to run as well. and idk about where you're from but there arent any RSX's in yards around here. just old junk thats been rotted out since 1992

Did you unplug your battery anytime recently? Glad you got it to work though, even if it didn't work that **** annoys me sometimes, maybe I didn't want you to go down all the way you ever think of that stupid window!!

If you disconnect the battery it resets itself but it then worksagian after a couple uses.
