Used, always buy used. Mackin's production levels are not exactly conventional.

Good luck finding a used set of time attack TE37s in that size and lug pattern. There was only about a dozen sets made during the first special order. I got one set because Doostur changed his mind at the last minute and went with the CE28s. I don't plan on ever selling my set even when I finally pick up a set of MF10s.

Not necessarily. Example: Buy a used set in size/offset of your choice. You can even shop for curbed and rashed versions. Lets say you have trouble and end up paying $1500 for a set in good condition, or too much for a damaged set. You can now spend $600 (Thats $150/rim) in having them refinished to the color/combo you want. You now have $2100 in a set of wheels that two you maybe 2-3weeks to pay, recieve, drop off, and pickup after refinishing. The wheels will be top notch if taken to a reputable shop, practically new.

You're forgetting that you need to buy stickers that are made just for the time attack wheels which will probably cost $200+ and center caps which will probably run about the same. It would be much easier and cheaper to buy the new set on ebay then spend $2100 for wannabe time attacks without the right stickers or center caps.

Did you not price 'normal' Volk TE-37's before you made a post about (more expensive) custom colored ones?

Of course it would be easier, but the OP already stated he doesn't have the cash. Plus, you already posted how hard these are to come by.

This made me chuckle....how could you think custom volk's aren't cheap? Regular volks aren't cheap, be ready to spend upwards of $1500 for a used set in decent condition
