Default my gas gauge

The gas gauge in my car seems unstable. it goes up and down whenever it wants. i think the problem is that there could be fuel inside the fuel level float. Its a 1991 CRX. Has anyone else ever incurred this problem also?

Yea, mine goes down when on an incline front pointing down, and when it's on E, it still has like 4 gallons.
I read it's just old parts wearing down, are cars are 17 years old.
Still, if someones got a fix, I would appreciate it

Mine doesnt work as it should either. It reads fine and seemingly accurate till it gets to about 1/5 a tank. from that point the needle just sits there and wont move all the way to the point where i run out of gas. Thought maybe it was the gauge itself but since i swapped to a newer teg cluster not to long ago, the problem still exists. That being said it appears to be the fuel sending unit on the top of the tank. I could replace it and fix this problem however i dont really feel much like dropping the tank lol.

I have the same problem. You don't need to drop the tank, you can access it behind the passenger seat in the storage area.

The only problem I have is Honda does not have this part anymore. Doesn't seem like anyone does.

hmmm well thats inconvenient. and yea as i was sitting in my car today i looked in my back seat and i was like ya know, i bet you might be able to get to the sending unit from here. and sure as **** apparently you can lol. So you've tried like advance, autozone, napa, oreillys? no places like that carry them?

I have tried my wholesale sources and nobody had them. No O'Reillys around here and I have not checked the general parts stores. Figured if my sources couldn't get them, probably the other guys couldn't.
