AC not blowing cold air
I have a '95 Civic and my AC don't blow cold air, sometimes it blow mild cold air only when the temperature outside is not too hot. What kind of freon do I use for this model?
There should be a sticker under your hood showing what refrigerant to use, but I'm relatively certain it's R134a. Pick up a can with some stop-leak and dye in it, and try charging the system a bit.

Yeah it is, unless the car never had air and someone swapped in an R12 setup. '92 - '93 = R12, '94 - '95 = R134a.

I had the same problem. It turn out i put to much in and my ac relay went bad.
go buy the rechill kit (leak system) from quest company. It sells at your local auto part store. about $40 bucks with the meter gauge.
You need to search
Can be to low or to high freon in compressor. Is you compressor clutch enraging? Or you might have a small leak.

It's not difficult, assuming you're topping off the system rather than trying to do a total refill. Just purchase a kit with a gauge, (usually about $25) and follow the instructions on the can.

Using the recharging cans is incredibly easy and not dangerous at all. Of course read the directions for specifics, but you basically just need to hook the can up to the evap line, turn the car on and put the A/C at max, and fill your freon up slowly. It's pretty hard to mess up.

yes you probably have a leak. go get the a/c system charged at a licensed shop. don't use those stupid kragen cans and most of all NEVER put the stop leak crap in your a/c system. refrigerant identifiers cannot pick them up and you can screw up the a/c evacuation system (in otherwords you will contaminate the refrigerant) (R-134a) when you get it charged in a show tell them to add dye to the system and go back in a week and have them check to make sure there is no leak.
just do that and see how it goes from there.

then you have a leak somewhere....or one of your a/c parts isn't doing its job. Dont have a no name shop check out your a/c bro, have a certified honda specialist diagonise it. If you can't find a honda specialist, search for one on the internet.

R134a Alien Blood.
Definately try to find out why the system is not cooling. It may be low refridgerant, if so check for and find the leak. Don't run the system with low refridgerant as its also the lubricant for the compressor as it contains a set amount of PAG oil. If that compressor fails your in for a big job, and a hurting to the wallet.
If the system is fully charged, then you have other issues that can be as simple as a pressure switch, to as complex as the compressor being shot. There are too many variables to say on here. The system must be checked by a qualified technician at that point.
