FS: 2005 Yamaha R6 - Team Blue - mint w/ mods! Must sell 6,200.
I never wanted this day to come but...it has. Due to a recent death in the family, I will be selling my motorcycle to ease future worries.
Details:
2005 Yamaha R6
Yamaha Team blue/White
Shogun Frame sliders
FULL GYT-R exhaust system
Puig Tinted Windscreen
Hotbodies flushmounts
Fender Eliminator Kit
Fairly new BT021-R tires (Bridgestone)
2005 is the more sought after year for R6 bikes because it does NOT have the lingering 2nd gear tranny problem of the previous generations. Also, it has a better mid-range than the 06-07 model and still maintains an extreme top end. It was also the first year for the introduction of the inverted forks. This model makes a great track/street bike.
I must stress that this bike has been used mainly for commuting (10,xxx miles). It's seen oil changes every three thousand miles. Waxed the chain once every 2 weeks with maxima chain wax. Had my dad (30+ years motorcycle experience) adjust chain slack, etc. This bike is immaculate. It runs perfect, is blisteringly fast, and looks perfect still. I am asking 5,500 firm. I'll let the pictures do the talking.

Sorry to hear about your reason for selling the bike.
WTF is this?

Interesting looking frame slider. I hope it doesn't light up.

lol thank you for the support guys. Yea that's a shogun "revolver" frame slider. It was just anodized to match my bike. No lights!

Bike looks clean overall...I was looking to get the R6S anyway.

You live so far.
I reside in the Pacific Northwest.
It's a nice bike, regardless....I'm not sure if I'd ever go out of state for one.

The 08 R6s is nothing compared to the 05 R6?
