Default LS/VTEC HELP NEEDED!!!!

ok so i just swapped in my motor to my hf crx about 2 nights ago, i got a golden eagle ls vtec kit, got everythign hooked up

its a brand new bottom end, with a b16 head with about 30k miles on it

i start the car and it cranks right up, i let sit for about 2 seconds and go look under the hood to see if everything is working properly....well i started seeing oil pouring out everywhere, foundout it was coming from my golden ealge sandwich plate, tought the seal could be on worng so i took it out today and put some rtv and tried again.

its doing the same thing. anyone ever had a problem like this?

it seems like something is blocked and oil is pumping into the oil filter and sandwich plate and not going through the line, could that be why all the oil is dripping out from there???

help?

Ive heard of the sandwich plates leaking pretty bad, but i havnt had a problem at all. Start spraying with brake cleaning and watch where it is coming from.

Did you teflon tape the oil line, and tighten it down enought?

that looks like it is on correctly, every thing is lined up. What brand gasket?

As EBEATS said did you install the tap on the bottom of the head? If you left it out that would explain why its leaking there. Also make sure the tap there is flush.

Oem head gaskets work the best, and please dont reuse that head gasket.

Also what is your torque sequence?
this is how i do it

9 5 1 3 7
8 4 2 6 10

with the arp head studs and lube i do
27..57..70ish

are the arp washers in there?

i added some stuff to my post.

There is a little tap that you need to install in the bottom of the head to block tho oil passage that would normally be there on a vtec bottom end. Without this oil will just leak out and cause your problem. ill go get a pic for you.

Sounds like you didnt drill and tap for the plug. I have seen this before, and oil pours out everywhere if you dont. Good luck.

my car has been together for at least 10,000 miles on 70ftlbs either way. the tap is most likely your problem.

Sounds like this is the problem he is having. OP did you follow the install instructions? you really shouldn't have any problems, it's pretty straight forward.

I dont have the booklet anymore that came with the headstuds, but i wouldn't have gone 10lbs above recommendations... it said 80 on mine. this was of course 8 months ago when i put my engine back together.
I bought my studs from lightningmotorspots here locally, arp was out and i was on a golden eagle trip and everyone was using arp headstuds, i was going GE.. thx. but it said 80 in the manuel.

not worried.. they aint coming out anytime soon anyway.
